We warmly invite you to the seventh edition of the weekend tournament!
The competition will take place on January 24-25, 2026.
Any team consisting of 3 to 5 players can participate.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available spots, the strongest teams will be placed on the waiting list in order of application.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ŁDZ OPEN TOURNAMENT:

🔷 4 games guaranteed (fifth match for the top 8 teams)

GAME SYSTEM:
🔶 Swiss system (points, stone difference, end difference, stones scored, ends scored, stones lost, ends lost, coin toss).
🔶 Signal for the penultimate end at 90 minutes. In case of a tie, a shoot-out will determine the winner.
🔶 Win = 3 points, win in shoot-out = 2 points, loss in shoot-out = 1 point, loss = 0 points.
🔶 2 rounds of group games, followed by a combined table. The 5th and final round for the top 8 teams (final closed, other games open).

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Any type of brooms is allowed except for brooms with hair or corn brooms.
Only applications containing the names and surnames of at least 3 players will be considered. It is not possible to later complete an incomplete team (i.e., consisting of 2 or fewer players).
Successful submission of the entry form will be confirmed with an automated email. If you did not receive an email from us and are sure you filled out the form correctly, please contact us at kontakt@curlinglodz.pl. Correct applications, after verification (which may take a few days), will be visible in the PARTICIPANT LIST tab as "Pending teams."
No later than December 21, 2025, teams qualified for the tournament will receive a confirmation of participation along with a request to pay the entry fee. Unpaid spots by January 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM will automatically be transferred to teams from the waiting list. If a team withdraws from the tournament after paying the entry fee, it is not possible to receive a refund unless a replacement team from the waiting list is found. If there are no teams on the waiting list willing to play, the withdrawing team can find a substitute after prior contact with the organizer. If a team withdraws after paying the entry fee and another team takes its place, an administrative fee of 48 EUR will be deducted from the refund.
All changes to the team line-up must be submitted to the organizer by email to kontakt@curlinglodz.pl no later than January 22, 2026, at 9:00 PM (this deadline also applies to teams registered with 3 or 4 players who want to add a 4th and/or 5th player). Changes involving half or more of the originally registered players may result in the application not being considered or the team losing the right to participate. A player cannot be registered in more than one team. If the same person appears in 2 or more teams, they will only be considered in the team where they were registered first. During the tournament, it is not possible to "borrow" players from other teams. Fielding a player not listed in the team's composition in a match is equivalent to a forfeit by that team. A forfeit counts as 0:12 (6 ends).
